Mike McGuirk (he/him) is an Oakland native with more than a decade of experience managing social impact projects, teams, and communications across various causes, sectors, and countries. With a knack for illuminating critical issues and building strategic alliances to address them, he knows how to collaboratively solve complex, long-term problems.  

Before joining Civic Edge, Mike served as the Executive Director of the Bay Area Disc Association from 2015-2020 and managed large-scale poverty alleviation programs in Kenya and Uganda with Evidence Action from 2013-14. Outside the office, Mike can be found running on East Bay trails, chasing frisbees in local leagues, and inventing new recipes in the kitchen.
